MAINTENANCE: the site closes for one week of upgrades — mandatory read
A full week of planned work: layout, structure, bugs, badges, performance, accessibility, mobile, and security. Countdown inside. Comments and most of the site pause during the window.
Update: read-aloud posts, better profiles, and trusted members can now write
New today: a Listen button on every post, reading progress, fixed-up author pages, an accessibility pass — and trusted members can publish their own posts.
New: badges for staff and trusted members, plus post banners
Gold Admin and blue Moderator shields are here, trusted members get a green one, and every post can now carry a banner image.
Site update: comments, staff badges, and official post types
What changed: comments on every post, Mod and Admin badges, categorised official notices (updates, bug fixes, API changes, deprecations, maintenance), and a fresh layout pass.
